Betty Umstead BA. M.Ed

Mrs. Betty M. Umstead, Education & Life Strategist –passionate in the pursuit of helping others to live life to their fullest potential, has contributed over thirty years of outstanding service to the education profession as a renowned school counselor, social worker and administrator in the public and private sector! Mrs. Umstead possesses a master’s degree in Counseling and School Administration from North Carolina Central University; a bachelor’s degree in Social Work from Elizabeth City State University; and hold certifications in School Executive Leadership, Counseling and various personality inventories.

Her business savvy includes rising to the position of National Director with 5Linx Enterprises, an INC. 500 Company; director of a prominent Christian Preschool which spawned the collaboration, building and establishing of a private Christian Academy located in Raleigh, North Carolina that served over 500 students from preschool to eighth grade; founder, executive director and host of the Women Business Owners & Entrepreneurial Network.

Mrs. Umstead is recognized as a keynote speaker, and is noted as the first African American keynote speaker for Mary Baldwin College Honors Program. She strongly believes that ‘one must walk in their God-given destiny to find true fulfillment’. Mrs. Umstead brings over 30 years of wisdom to assisting both young and old with a life plan design.
