Phyllis R. Thompson is recognized as an author, entrepreneur and speaker. She graduated from Our Lady of the Lake University in San Antonio, Texas with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology/Sociology. UTSA and University of Southern Mississippi is where she earned graduate credits towards a Masters with a specialization in Adult Education. Phyllis is the Executive Director of her private business ~ Diversity Seminars. Her company provides professional training for schools, organizations, institutions of higher learning and businesses.

Her professional experience encompasses working in the fields of higher education, child abuse prevention, minority affairs, newspaper advertising and hospitality. She travels all over the states for national, regional and local events. She primarily focuses on topics of leadership, empowerment and the importance of embracing diversity initiatives. A few of her clients include: Texas Early Childhood Professional Development System, Texas Association of Black Personnel in Higher Education, LULAC National Education Service Center, Professional Business Women’s Organizations, Center for the Prevention of Child Abuse, United Way & many others.

Phyllis has created a business and lifestyle to reflect what she really loves to do. She is definitely passionate about pushing people to reach their greatest potential. The personal mantra she lives by is simply, “I AM my best motivator for change. If it is to be, then it is up to me”.
