Nina Fitzhugh Wells

Nina Fitzhugh Wells has served in education for more than 25 years. A native of Philadelphia, PA, she is a Doctor of Education (Ed.D) candidate at Walden University. She earned her M.A. in Education from Union Presbytery Seminary in Richmond, VA; and did undergraduate studies at the Pennsylvania State University in State College, PA. She has authored 7 books, including her profound autobiography: Lost FOUNDation: From Foster Care to God’s Heir (2009). She is now penning her 8th book: “Emancipation Revelation: An Exploratory View at Resources and Supports for First Year College Students Who Age Out of Foster Care,” to be published in 2014. Her next piece, “From Dependency to Self Sufficiency: A Portrait of Aging Out of Foster Care,” debuts in late 2014.

Wells serves as Executive Vice President and Education Director at Kingdom Publishing Group (KPG) in Richmond. VA. She is credited with helping authors birth nearly 300 books. Her work has opened many opportunities to reach and teach multitudes of people from diverse communities. She is in high demand as a keynote speaker and workshop facilitator.

In July, 2010, she was inducted into the Kappa Delta Pi International Honor Society for Education. She is a member of the Foster Care Alumni of America (FCAA), the American Association of Christian Counselors (AACC), and the Independent Book Publisher’s Association (IBPA). As well, she is a member of the Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. (AKA), and hosts a Blogtalk radio show.
