Show Me The Money… to Finance the Next New York Times Best Seller

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule, view media, leave feedback and see who's attending!

Most of us are familiar with that famous scene when Jerry Maguire and Rod Tidwell have the shouting match of the century with “Show Me the Money” as the chorus. If you are writing a book, then you too will be shouting “Show me the money!”

If you are self-publishing, in order to write, edit, publish, market, and distribute your book, you will need some moolah, currency, cheddar, or in plain English terms: money. If you are traditionally publishing then your investment will be much smaller, but you will still have to invest in editing before submitting your work to an agent or publishing house for review. In this workshop we will identify some cost effective methods for financing your book project so that you can enjoy the journey to getting your book published by:

  • Identifying what are the standard publishing costs,
  • Evaluating your non-monetary literary resources, assets and liabilities,
  • and looking at potential in-house and outside streams of revenue for your project.

Who should attend this session?

If you are an Aspiring Author, Freelance Writer, Entrepreneurs or Speaker than this is the workshop for you! If you have a little money or lots of money and want to use wisdom in preparing monetarily for your book publishing project than this is the workshop for you.
